Blake’s Kitchen Coleshill is a laid-back café tucked within the grounds of the Buscot and Coleshill Estates, offering a quiet retreat not far from the bustle of Swindon. This spot strikes a nice balance between being a convenient pit stop for cyclists and walkers and a cozy hideout for those looking to ease into a slow morning or afternoon.

The café’s atmosphere varies with the weather, coming alive on sunny days with all the outdoor tables filled, creating a lively garden-side scene. When it’s cooler or quieter, there’s an inviting indoor area featuring sofas where you can settle in, sometimes with the added convenience of a plug socket next to the seating—a thoughtful touch for anyone hoping to get a bit of work done or stay charged while relaxing.

Blake’s Kitchen caters to a range of tastes and dietary needs, with offerings like the comforting 3 cheese toastie served alongside coleslaw and vegetable crisps, or breakfast baps that hold their own as a hearty start. Coffee plays a central role here, with flat whites and cappuccinos regularly mentioned as satisfying locals and visitors alike. The menu also includes tempting treats such as cinnamon rolls and coffee cake, making it a good spot for both a casual coffee break and a light lunch.

The environment leans towards casual and approachable rather than cramped; although on busy days the space inside can feel tight with tables close together, suggesting that quieter midweek visits might be more comfortable for those after a gentle, calm experience. Staff are routinely described as helpful and friendly, contributing to a welcoming vibe that blends well with the locale.

Dog owners will appreciate the café’s pet-friendly policy, making Blake’s Kitchen a multi-purpose stop for locals taking their dogs for a walk on the estates. The nearby secondhand bookshop also adds a unique local flavour, letting visitors mooch around before or after their visit here.

Those who cycle will find practical perks such as a bike rack and clear window views from inside, allowing them to keep an eye on their ride without cutting into their relaxation time. Overall, Blake’s Kitchen works well for people looking for tasty, simple food and coffee in a setting that feels rooted in the estate’s slow-paced charm, particularly when the weather invites a spill outside.

Parked on site, mooched in the 2nd hand bookshop alongside before settling on an inside sofa with my flat white, 3 cheese toastie (with coleslaw and vegetable crisps). Was busy due to gorgeous weather. Tables outside were full. Menu has variety for all dietary needs. Staff were friendly and helpful. Sofa inside has a plug next to it, useful if you're planning to do some work.

Great cycling stop! Has a bike rack with nearby outdoor courtyard seating, or indoor seating with a clear window view to keep an eye on your ride. Great location, quiet and secluded yet only a minute off the main road. Food, drink and staff were all lovely.

Lovely place with a reasonable variety of food. We wanted gluten free and there was a reasonable choice. The staff are very helpful and friendly. Its dog friendly Well worth a visit

Lovely food and coffee but not cinnamon buns available. The tables were very close together which lead to lots of people in a small cafe and a loud atmosphere where I couldn't hear my husband across the table. I can see this being a lovely place to be on quiet days.

Very noisy on a busy day but still possible to hear the person next to you. Nice and warm though with a good variety of things to eat including sweet and savoury. We had only stopped for coffee which was well priced and came quickly. Having just arrived from Egypt i found my Cappuccino to be overly weak. To their credit they made me a new one which hit hit the spot
